THE WEIR
The Weir, for which Conor McPherson won the Evening Standard Award for most promising playwright 1997, is both funny and gripping. In a bar in a remote part of Western Ireland, the locals are swapping spooky stories to impress a young woman. A simple visit to the local ppub soon turns out to be an entertaining evening of strange, spellbinding and unexpected tales.
