The Gallery and Exhibition Wall are both open to the public and users of The Castle 6 days a week, so please feel free to come and take a look at the spaces and artwork for free.

  • Hours of opening: 10.00 a.m. until 8.00 p.m.
  • If there are no shows, then the exhibitions will close at 6.00 p.m.

East Midlands Monochrome Group

Art - Feb Gallery (150 x 200)

The Beauty of Monochrome

In 1999 a group of like-minded photographers met to form the East Midlands Monochrome Group with the aim of promoting an appreciation of the monochrome image. This exhibition reflects the work of its members and, with no selection process necessary for inclusion, this is a true reflection of their work. The experience of members ranges from beginners to semi-professional photographers.

"We believe that monochrome images can capture the light and mood of a subject which is often lost in colour photography" EMMG
